Altering a registered trade mark

You can use the form TM25 PDF document(63Kb) to alter your registered trade mark.  There are limited circumstances in which this can be done:

  • The mark must include the proprietor’s name or address
  • The alteration is limited only to the alteration of that name or address
  • The alteration does not substantially affect the identity of the mark.

The alteration to the name must only be a minor amendment and not a full substitute of an entirely new or significantly amended name.  There is no fee for this.

This form can also be used to delete a mark in a registered series of marks.
